Hi,

I'm trying to route mail from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010 server which are in different domains, i have followed steps provided in the below link

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb123546.aspx

Using Basic authentication between the cross forest, i'm able to route mails from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2003 but not the other way.

I get an error saying " you do not have permission to send to this recipient" " Client was not aunthenticated"

Could somebody please help me on this

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Did you add the user in the Exchange 2010 AD to the ExchangeLegacyInterop group?

Under the properties for the SMTP Virtual Server on Exchange 2003 and then Under the Access tab and Authentication, please check Integrated Windows Authentication option and then send the email again. If the issue persists, please post the NDR message here. Also, please check whether there is any error message in Event Log.

Thanks.
