Can't Archive Calendar

I have recently upgraded to Office 2007 from Office 2003. My computer is running Win XP Pro SP 2.

When I try to archive my Calendar in Outlook 2007, I get the word 'Archive' in the lower right corner of the screen for a few seconds, then a message scans in the same area, way too fast to read, and the process ends. Nothing is archived.

I have tried Scanpst.exe to repair the outlook.pst file, (and the archive.pst file) but no joy.

Archive of other Outlook folders goes normally.

Suggestions?

Thanks.
