Outlook tasks: due date changes after entering reminder or start dates

I enter tasks in the list view so that I tab from column to column to enter the subject, due date, start date and reminder date. After entering a date in the due date column, the start date and reminder date are filled in with today's date. I tab to the next column, change the start date and the due date changes! The last one was changed by 3 months! I have to manually re-enter the due date again.

Help!

In Outlook tasks view click on view tab > Select view settings > click on columns > Change the column order to display start date first and then the due date and that should help avoid this issue.

Yes, I wondered about that -- but the start and reminder dates are calculated from the due date, so it's easier to enter the due date and then count backwards. Simply a matter of preference.

Thanks.
