Office 2007 / Outlook Meetings auto accepted

Calendar meeting notices are automatically being accepted and put on our users calendars with out them having to click accept on the invite email. If they decline it does disappear from their calendar but if nothing is done it remains on their calendar. What could be causing this we are running a 2003 Exchange server. Thanks.

Is this an issue with all users are only with few users?

Ensure "Auto Accept" is not checked in the location mentioned below.

Outlook2007> Tools> Options> Calendar Options> Resource Scheduling and confirm that auto-acceptis turned off.

Outlook Calendar Options are configured toautoaccept and decline conflicts. This suggests to me that the setting is only applied at the Outlook level and not Exchange.
