outlok 2010 'not enough memory avaliable to perform the operation' with distribution lists.

I'm upgrading from outlook 2003 to outlook 2010 and have several distribution lists I would like to merge into one. When I try to save the new list (containig about 500 members) while in cached exchange mode I get the following message as a conflict

13:41:31 Synchronizer Version 14.0.4760

13:41:31 Synchronizing Mailbox 'Tim Fookes'

13:41:31 Synchronizing local changes in folder 'Contacts'

13:41:31 Uploading to server 'seuk-s5.seuk.sterlingenergyuk.com'

13:41:31 Error synchronizing message 'BCC Only'

13:41:31 [8007000E-50C-3F1-323]

13:41:31 There is not enough memory available to perform the operation.

13:41:31 Microsoft Exchange Information Store

13:41:31 Moved a message that failed synchronization to 'Local Failures'. Message subject -> 'BCC Only'. You can view this message in your offline folder only.

13:41:31 Done

I get a similar message about lack of memory when not in cached exchange more. I thought this was a problem that was only in outlook 2003 and 2007 SP1 ? Am I missing something ? As I can create large groups via web access...

Thanks foy any help

What type of email account has been configured (POP or IMAP or Exchange)?

Are you trying to merge all distribution list in Outlook 2003 or 2010?

Instead of merging all distribution lists, create new distribution list to add all the contacts and verify the status.

There is a limit in number of contacts that you can add in one distribution list to send emails. Check the link below, might be helpful.

Also check with the link below.

The original distribution lists were made in outlook 2003, but the new one has been made in 2010, and was made from scratch...

Its an Exchange account.

And sadly there was nothing of any help in those links. Any more ideas ? As its only a small list...
