Outlook stops responding during navigation from one feature, i.e. (mail) to another (calendar). I ran the Office Diagnostics and no problems were detected. It is the only office application that is hanging and causing. What can I do to improve the function/speed?

Did this problem suddenly start this week? If so, uninstall the update KB 2412171. (http://www.outlook-tips.net/archives/2010/20101216.htm)

If its not a new problem or if removing that update doesn't help, close outlook and restart using the /resetnavpane switch:

At the Start search field on Vista or Windows7 Start menu or in the Start menu, Run command (Windows key + R), type

outlook.exe /resetnavpane

Then press Enter (or OK button) to restart Outlook.

Note: Make sure there is a space between the words.

Thank you so much! The problem was durring the past few days, therefore, I followed your instructions to uninstall the update. I'm pleased the action resolved my Outlook problem. I will keep this in mind, if I have issues after a major update, such as the one installed 12/14/10. Thank you again!
