Do you get this even when you are already running Outlook or only upon starting it for the first time after a restart?

Do you have anything installed which relies on Outlook to be running? For instance, a fax service, sync software, Office Communicatior, etc...?

Are you starting Outlook manually after starting your computer (like via a scheduled task, script or Outlook shortcut in the Startup folder) or are you starting it manually via the Outlook shortcut?

It is very insistent. The dialog appears when you start Windows, when you start Outlook, during usage of Outlook, and immediately after Outlook has been closed. Choosing a profile is of no avail; creating a new profile as in the kb linkeid to is of no avail.

Default complete Outlook 2010 install. Google calendar sync installed.

Your third question seems to be contradictory (an Outlook shortcut in the Startup folder versus starting it manually via a shortcut). In any case I am starting from a shortcut on the taskbar.
