attachments gets lost when sending to other recipients

Can someone please help.

I am using outlook 2010 ( 32 bit version), windows 7, 64 bit. Everytime I send emails with attachments to other recipients, using other email software or older outlook software, the attachments gets lost, they cannot see any attachments.

I am already sending my mails with plain text/html so it cannot be the format of my email that's causing these attachments to get lost. I also configured my email addresses to "let outlook decide the best sending format" but I still get these problems

Any solution to this problem would be much appreciated.

Does your AV application scan out-bound email? Try turning it off. (You may have to uninstall it and re-install without email integration, depending on what you use).

Does the message size seem to reflect the attachment is there but hidden? What email client do the recipients use?

Are you scanning outgoing mail with a virus scanner?

What format do the recipients get? Outlook could be converting them to RTF (usual cause of missing attachments). If the addresses are in the autocomplete cache, delete the name and select it from contacts instead.
