There is not error message but I can't stop Outlook from reloading my old emails, 2300 plus emails. How do i stop it. Is it a glitch with Outlook or Comcast. thanks, C

This will happen if you leave copies of messages on the server and create a new mail profile. Did you?

You have a couple of choices. One is to log into your Comcast mailbox using Comcast's web interface, create a new server-side folder, and move the old messages to that folder. If they're not in Inbox, Outlook can't see them and won't download them again. Another option is to allow Outlook to download them again, then get a duplicate remover program and have it delete the duplicates. Some can be found here: http://www.slipstick.com/addins/duplicates-addins/duplicate-remover-tools-for-outlook/. Some are free.
