What is the limit on the number of e-mails that can be stored in Outlook 2010?
I have a customer who currently uses MSN e-mail software (which is part of MSN Explorer). It has been his practice to retain past e-mails and finds it very usefull to be able to search past e-mails. However lately he has experienced malfunctions with this system. In consulting with the MSN tech support folks, we have been told that their server limits each user to 10 gigs for storage. We had the option to move these files to the local hard drive. Currently, the storage space required to keep all of these old e-mails is 20 gigs. The software has begun to fail and the MSN support folks suggest the problem is caused by not having enough RAM. Since then I have replaced my customers' computer with a new one running 8 gigs of ram on windows 7 ultimate and the CPU is the intel i7. Before I attempt to convet all his old e-mails into Outlook 2010 format, I would like some assurance that the latest version of Outlook can handle this many old e-mails.
Any assistance would be aprreciated
