Restoring Outlook on a new computer

Data were backed upfrom previous computer to MozyPro. I am now restoring them the new computer. Appears Outlook data are coming back just fine. But can't open the files. Windows 'doesn't know what program created the file, even though it's named an Outlook. Also, I can't restore them to their original location.

Ideally, I'd like to hire an Outlook specialist and have him take over computer actually do the work. Anybody you can recommend?


1. Copy your Outlook files from your old computer to an external hard drive or USB flash drive.
2. Connect the USB flash drive or external hard drive that contains your old Outlook data to your new computer.
3. Open Outlook on your new computer.
4. Go to "File" in the top menu bar and choose "Import and Export."
5. Select the "Import from another program or file" option and click "Next."
6. Choose "Personal Folder File (.pst)" from the list of file types and click "Next" again.
7. Press the "Browse" button, navigate to the location on your external drive where the old Outlook data is stored and then double click on the PST file's icon.
8. Press the "Next" and "Finish" buttons to complete the restoring process.
