Software being used:
OS = Win 7 32-bit
Outlook = Office 2010 using Exchange 2008
Anti-Virus = Sophos 9
Issue Description: After setting up a new computer and applying all updates and turning on the Anti-virus the system worked fine. After using the computer without issue for 3 weeks, the computer now displays an error when trying to start Outlook = “Cannot Start Microsoft Outlook”. Microsoft updates and Sophons updates have been received and applied, but no additional software has been installed to this computer. I have this same issue now on 4 additional comptuers.
1. Restaged the computer = same error
2. Removed Office 2010 + restart + reinstall Office 2010 = same error
3. Removed Anti-Virus and repeated step 2 = same error
4. Installed Win 7 + updates + join to network + install office 2010 + setup mail through control panel + started outlook = worked great for 3 weeks, then received the error while opening Microsoft Outlook = Outlook cannot start.
