Having an odd issue with 2010
Log onto XP as user in Domain1 Connect to Exchange server as a user in Domain2 Everything works fine Leave machine logged on overnight and Outlook starts making hundreds of calls to the Exchange server as the user in Domain1

Don't have this problem with 2007. Outlook should not be connecting to anything as the Domain1 user.

Any ideas?

The only thing I can think of is something is causing the rpc/https channel to go down between your workstation and the remote exchange server. Once the communication channel comes backup, it sounds like rather than Outlook prompting for credentials, it just uses your existing domain1/user credentials to access the remote exchange server.

Sounds like a bug somewhere in Outlook then. Thanks for the response.
