Outlook 2010 Mail Options - Editor, Spelling, Signatures & Stationery not accessible

Not open for further replies.

In my mail options, when I try to change or even access the first four options for the " Mail" category, I can click the buttons to my heart's content, but they only flash a little darker. No other window appears. This effects the " Editor Options" " Spelling and Autocorrect..." " Signatures" and " Stationery and Fonts..." The other appear to be accessible and " work" .

I've reinstalled the software after a full removal, etc.

I found the signature txt files in C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Signatures but they are not used when I compose email messages. Could that be because they go with Outlook 2007 and I should simply delete that folder and let Outlook 2010 create a new one?

From your description , I understand that your Outlook 2010 mail Options not accessible.

Try a new Outlook profile to test the results:

1. Exit Outlook.

2. Go to Start > Control Panel, click or double-click Mail.

3. Click Show Profiles. Choose Prompt for a profile to be used.

4. Click Add.

5. Type a name for the profile, and then click OK.

6. Start Outlook, and choose this new profile.

If this problem does not occur in the new Outlook profile, the old Outlook is corrupted. You can delete that and use a new Outlook profile.
