I have 2 domains in the Exchange 2010, first one is added with couple of mailboxes and working fine. Now recently added another one and when try to connect in outlook 2010 then Autodiscover Error " An encrypted connection to your mail serer is not available. Click Next to attempt using an unencrypted connection.

Now If I use outlook 2007 then it does connect using Auto discover.

Also the Exchange connectivity using https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/ show success for SRV record.

Is there any issue with outlook 2010 ?

Run the test from Outlook (hold down CTRL, right click on the Outlook icon in the system tray and choose Test Email Auto Configuration). That will show you what Outlook is getting. Verify it is correct.
Sounds like the DNS isn't configured correctly, usual cause is a wildcard in the domain which means autodiscover.example.com resolves to somewhere it shouldn't do.

hi

had issues myself when i did a http -> https redirection and my autodiscover IIS virtual dir had require ssl unchecked and another option was there that" require client sertificate " . prolly you have same issue. select ignore certificate and autodsicver starts working again.

all worked for those who had previously set up accounts and http/rpc, tho for new mapi account creations it didnt work.

Well I don't think there is any issue with SRV record. I have tested on few friends machines running OL 2010 and 2007 and mail account is working fine. Man this is so mysterious why it is not connecting in my machine outlook :(.

BTW: If I right click on OL and check test then it says failure on SRV record... but only in my OL .. it return success in other OL.

try with nslookup from your machine:

set type=all

_autodiscover._tcp.yourdomain.com

and see what returns.

Maybe a syntax error as it is showing nothing...

Let me show what I have set in SRV record

Service: _autodiscover Protocol: _tcp Port Number: 443 Host: mail.domain.com

Since it been confirmed that autodiscovery working with same account in other machines but not in mine outlook. What do you think guys is this Microsoft outlook 2010 issue, should I reinstall it ?

Isn't there anyway to verify it.. Maybe something at OL 2010 Activation End ?

if its only your OL whats causing problems, i would suggest reinstall /unistall, install.

if theres more that 2 computers and user accounts having problems i thinks its the exchange side problem.

Does the mailbox of the problematic account on this new exchange server?

Do all mailboxes appear the same symptom on this new exchange server?

Does the issue happen during initial mail profile creation by using outlook anywhere on internet?

The mail account is the one that failed to be set on your machine, right?

Agree with Aivar75. If you can configure the same account on another machine with outlook 2010 client, the cause would be on the local machine

Please also try to create a new windows profile

*** Yes it is on same box.

Do all mailboxes appear the same symptom on this new exchange server?

*** I have 2 domains in exchange, and problem only coming with the 2nd domain accounts.

Does the issue happen during initial mail profile creation by using outlook anywhere on internet?

*** There is no issue by using OWA, but only when I open outlook 2010 and try to add new account using autodiscover.
If I add manually account using RPC/http then it does work.

The mail account is the one that failed to be set on your machine, right?

Agree with Aivar75. If you can configure the same account on another machine with outlook 2010 client, the cause would be on the local machine

It is not working on 2 of my machines (notebook and office desktop ).. But working on other friends machine (tested in 5 location )

It is bit disappointed that in past all product of Microsoft were flawless , but seriously after exchange 2010 SP1 there are many many mysterious issue. MS shall bring consistency in outlook and exchange connectivity...

I have a 1 but very very simple question

Why I am able to connect exchange mail account from one machine but not with other using same outlook version/OS in Same network under single ISP ????

Okay Finally this issue has been resolved.

Here is the solution

Create new windows login in the machine, and login with this new user and open outlook then connect to exchange mailbox. It will work.

So somehow previous login hold the authentication of first exchange account due to which it is not allowing to connect other exchange mailboxes using auto discover. Now question raise from where we remove /clean entries so OL connect using old windows login.
