Dear sir,
We have a project to migrate Exchagne 2003 server to Exchange 2010, I have setup a lab to test Exchange 2010 co-exist with Exchagne 2003, I am following the Exchange Deployment Assistant guide for the setup.

BackGround:

- Windows 2003 R2 AD with Exchange 2003 x1 (Server Name: W2003Mail1, FQDN: legacymail.domain1.net)

- Windows 2008 R2 Server x1 installed with Exchange 2010 CAS, HTS & Mailbox (Server Name: W2008Mail2, FQDN: mail.domain1.net)
I have followed perform action to upgrade ADschema, ADprep, and organization, and also perform exchange 2010 schema extend.
I have installed successfully without problem of co-exist server. I can login OWA in each server individually.

- https:\\legacymail.domain1.net\exchange to access exchange 2003 user mailbox successfully (Both internal and external can be resolved)

- https:\\mail.domain1.net\owa to access exchange 2010 user mailbox successfully
(Both internal and external can be resolved),

- Both Exchagne 2003 and Exchagne 2010 user mailbox can send mail to each other successfully.

Now I would like to configure Exchange 2010 CAS roles to allow access of Exchange 2003 mailbox login.
In the Exchange 2010 managemet shell, I configure Exchange 2003 URL by:

Set-OWAVirtualDirectory -Identity " W2008Mail2\owa (Default Web Site)" -Exchange2003Url https://legacymail.domain1.net/exchange

Problem:

Why I type https://mail.domain1.net/exchange, then login with Exchange 2003 user account, it redirects me into the link: https://legacymail.domain1.net/exchweb/bin/auth/owaauth.dll, but the page shows HTTP 500 Internal Server Error.

Any suggestion on it?

Joe

make sure that you don't have any SSL redirection configured on the 2003 server, and make sure that FBA is configured on the virtual directory and SSL certificate is assigned to the IIS with the name legacy.domain.comRegards, Mahmoud Magdy Watch Arabic Level 300 Videos about Exchange 2010 here: http://vimeo.com/user3271816 Read pretty advanced Exchange stuff I post here: http://www.enowconsulting.com/ese/blog.asp, follow my blog: http://autodiscover.wordpress.com , corp blog: http://ingazat.wordpress.com, Follow me on twitter http://www.twitter.com/_busbar and if you Liked my post please mark it as helpful and accept it as an answer
