Clicking the link in IE8 "Send Page by E-Mail", opens up the Send Message Window in Outlook. This window is modal (Outlook cannot be used without this window being closed). I would like to know if there is a way to make this window modaless.

Also, When clicking New in Outlook, it opens the same window, but the window is not modal. Anyone know the reason why this was implemented in this way? Is is for security reasons?

thanks,

No, you can't make the window modeless. Save and close the message and reopen it from outlook. The reason for the differences in how the New button in Outlook works and how it works when you use the Send to menu in other programs is related ot how the programs call up the new mail window. Sent to menus use SimpleMapi and this calls up new mail differently than the New button.
