Outlook 2003 Free/Busy issues after migrating to Exchange 2010

I've got an interesting one here that is hopefully a quick fix. After migrating to Exchange 2010 and moving the PF replicas to their new E2K10 server, users on Outlook 2003 cannot see the Free/Busy info for Resources (conf. rooms) that are into next year. We can, however, see the Free/Busy via Webmail and Outlook 2007. It seems very sporatic too. On my Outlook, I can see one of the Resources Free/Busy, but not another (whereas prior I could not see either one of them beyond Dec. 2010). Could this be RPC Encryption on the system folders? If so, how do I remove it? When I do a Get-RPCClientAccess, the encryption is denoted as False for the all the servers w/ PF and Mailboxes. Karl

OK, even more interesting. If you wait 5-10 minutes, the Free/Busy Schedule eventually populates. Huh?Karl

You can update the Outlook 2003 user profile with RPC encryption for a test.

1. In Control Panel, open the Mail item.

2. Click Show Profiles.

3. Select your profile, and then click Properties.

4. Click E-mail Accounts.

5. Select View or change existing e-mail accounts, and then click Next.

6. Select the Microsoft Exchange Server account, and then click Change.

7. In the dialog box that contains your mailbox server and user name, click More Settings.

8. In the Microsoft Exchange Server dialog box, click the Security tab.

9. Click to select the Encrypt data between Microsoft Office Outlook and Microsoft Exchange Server check box, and then click OK.

10. Click Next, and then click Finish.

11. Click Close, and then click OK.

Does Free and Busy display normally?

Thanks.

This is a bit more of a bug/issue than I expected. Been working with MS PSS for over a week now and they have even recreated the problem (they think). Will post the solution (if there is one) after we are done.

Have you also looked at the following KB?
