Outlook 2010: Conversation view does not show messages that are in a folder.

We have Exchange 2010 and Outlook 2010. The pc is Windows XP and we are working in online mode, not cache. When in conversation view, you click on a folder it appears to be empty although there are messages in there. I uncheck the converstation view and then the messages appear. I have tried to cleanviews and resetfodlers command however that does not work. I created a new profile but this did not work. I reinstalled the client and tried a different pc but stilll the same results. This does not happen with all the folders, just certain ones.

When enabling Conversation View (View > Show as conversations) choose All Folders.

From the Conversation settings choose Show messages from Other folders.

And it should display the conversation view successfully in the folder.

This is how it is enabled. One thing I checked is on webmail when you view the folders in conversation view, the emails are listed. What is the difference that webmail would use as apposed to the client I wonder.

Just a quick not too, the folder that I am viewing in conversation view does not have any other documents from other folders to view in the conversation....it is a single message.

If I play around with those covnersation settings like you suggest, it did fix it up for one folder however not for the other so I don't think it is a solution.

Any other suggestions?

Does the problem happen on cached mode?

Conversation view will require Cached Exchange Mode as well in order to function better.

No this does not happen in cache mode or on webmail so it is definitely something on the client. I just need to know what.
