Hello,

My BCM database resides on SQL Server 2008 Enterprise Edition and I would like to customize user permissions for BCM based on Database permissions. Specifically, I would like to assign an AD group users Read-Only access to the database and/or specific tables. I realize this may not in fact be supported by Microsoft, but is it theoretically possible?

Any input on this would be very much appreciated.
Kind regards,

Steve

Hi Steve
You can make a database read-only usng the Stored Procedure 'sp_dboption' For more info take a look at the following link (there is a 'read only' option)
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa933268(SQL.80).aspx

However, while SQL Does support a Read-Only option, BCM was not tested with read-only databases - you might experience problems with BCM after setting a database read-only
Hope this helps!
Larry
