Since about 2 weeks ago, Outlook 2007 can no longer send an email I originate, but has no trouble sending emails to which I am responding or forwarding. Uninstalling KB2412171 and cleaning up mailbox have not resolved problem.
Disabling Stopzilla didn't help.
I can originate an email from my iPhone on same network with no problem, so apparently not an issue with Cox service.
Any ideas?

You haven't really provided any information that would permit anyone to help. The minimum you would need to provide is mail account type, how the message is created, how the recipient is stored and selected, precisely what happens, what steps ocurred before Outlook stopped. If you are using any antivirus email scanning or other add-ins specify them.

Do you get any error message while receiving emails?

What type of email account do you use? (e.g., POP, IMAP or exchange)

Try to disconnect the iphone and check with the emails in outlook.

Also try to enable "leave a copy of emails on the server" under the account settings. Then check the email with Outlook. Go to tools-> account settings-> open the email account and click on more settings-> under the advanced tab check the box which says "Leave a copy of messages on the server".
