Outlook 2007 shut down problems

I have a win 7 professional 64 bit system. Upon logging off Outlook 2007 and closing down the computer. it keeps coming up with that outlook needs to be closed down or the computer asks if i want to force shut down.

I started outlook in safemode with no problem and shut the system down with the same results. It asks me to force shut down. If i use hotmail by itself there is no problem.

I can use some help

If you wait 2 min after closing outlook, do you still get this message? Are you using the option to empty the deleted item folder when you close outlook? If so, you need to give it a little more time.




Go to Task Manager, Processed tab - is Outlook.exe still running? If so, are you syncing with a device or have other programs running that use outlook data? See http://www.slipstick.com/problems/outlook-exe-continues-running-after-you-exit-outlook/ for common applications that will keep it running.




Also, check for updates and make sure outlook has all updates installed. One update helps it close when something is still accessing data.
