Unable to open hotmail, error hotmail.ost is not an offline folder file

Outlook 2007 using the Outlook Connector to add my hotmail MAPI, I cant open the file. I have deleted and added many times, tried the outlook recovery tool, can anyone help?:(
 
Did you try deleting the ost and restarting outlook? If that doesn't work, try making a new profile.
 
Yes, I have deleted the ost, deleted email, deleted data files, uninstalled outlook connector and reinstalled. Everytime I add the hotmail acct and try to open in the navigation window it says hotmail.ost is not an offline folder file. It automatically sets the account as an ost file that cant be opened. :(
 
Did you try a new profile? go to control panel, mail and make a new profile, using a unique name.
