Outlook moving random messages from folders back to the inbox

Hi there,

I have a very strange query. One of the staff members at my work has an issue with email jumping out of folders and back to the inbox. The person has literally 100-200 folders where information is filed. The thing is, the next morning a random sample of them appear to move back into the inbox. Has anyone ever had this issue or seen the issue?

The person is using Outlook 2010 and talking to Exchange 2003. No-one else seems to have this issue at all. The person does have a blackberry, but I doubt it could interfere to that extent and no-one else with this combination and blackberry has a similar issue. Outlook is also running in non cached mode.

Are you using BES? Although it doesn't make sense, especially if you use BES, my money is on the blackberry. What are the reconcile & who wins on conflicts settings? On the BB, open the Email inbox, options, email reconciliation to check. The other option is cached mode not updating the server - but for this to happen, the user would need to work offline or move the items right before closing outlook (and i mean right before, as in just a few seconds).
