Went from outlook 2003 to 2010 - can't retrieve active for contacts

I recently upgraded from 2003 to 201 and have a number of problems;

1) There is no Activities tab within contacts... i.e. I can't find emails that I sent or received by searching within the contact.

2) Journal entries and notes... no link to this as well

3) I assign a task to a contact, i.e follow up phone call to make on Date X.... yet no list of my To Do's activities or tasks I set for myself are nowhere to be found.

Apparantly the upgrade from 2003 installed properly... yet 2010 either has lack of functionality and/or the migration did not work. The problem I have mentioned above are prevalant on new contacts that have I have added, i.e. they were not in my 2003 database.

I find this 2010 useless if I can't retrive history linked to my contacts.
