Outlook 2010 Saved Drafts Time & Date "NONE" - Ideas?

Hi everyone,

I've been googling this issue since yesterday and I am yet to find an answer.

When a user creates a new email, then saves the email in drafts to finish later, the time is displayed as "none".

This does not happen each and every time, only occasionally.

I am not after a work around, I am trying to figure out what is the cause of this problem.

None is correct. Are you using online or cached mode? Under certain corcumstances in Outlook 2007, the date is shown - see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2278917/ - its possible that happens with 2010 too.

The users are using cached mode.

Now, for another question. Is there a way to ALWAYS display a time in the saved drafts section in cached mode?
 
Well, it should happen all the time (the None part) - why it doesn't is the bigger mystery.




Oh... do the systems have mixed dates and none or is it None on some systems and dates on others? I read the problem as mixed within a user's drafts folder- some drafts have dates, some don't.




If it's by computer - with some systems showing dates and others show None, its the date field used in the view - the sent field shows None (because it hasn't been sent) and the field with the date is either the received or modified date field. The Sent field is in the default view - you would need to customize the view and add either of the other fields to see a date. The Modified is the better field to use to avoid confusion - if you use OWA or multiple computers, the received date may not match the modified date. (If you use a pst, they should always match.)




If the user is using the modified date field, then its a bug - because the modified field should always have a value. If they are using Received, I can't think of a reason why some would have dates and some not... unless maybe the user uses two computers.
