I recently updated my windows 7 laptop with an sp1 and several Office 2007 updates. Afterwards, i found that all of my personal data within Outlook was gone and my accounts to my email servers no longer existed. Once i got it all restored and the connections and window displays reconfigured, I noticed that whenever i use the minimize button at the top left hand side of the page, it would close the current running Outlook application instead of just minimizing it to the taskbar in Windows 7.
Now, I must leave my Outlook app in full size or reduced page size because it closes the app if i try to reduce or minimize it to the taskbar.
I have looked at all the configurations and help menus and have found no help with the irritating issue as I have multiple windows running and i must constantly work around having it in front of other window applications that i am using.
I can try restoring Outlook from my Office 2007 cd, but it seems a lot of hassle for just a small issue and i cannot guarantee this will fix the problem.
If anyone has heard of this, or knows how to resolve it, i wud appreciate a reply.
thanks,
Pacificmike
