Changing colour of selection bar in Outlook (too light, needs to be grey)

When I click on an email in my Inbox it's highlighted in dark blue. You scroll up and down using your arrows and it stays blue as you move.

However if I click away from the list ie into the preview pane, the selection changes from dark blue to a really light yellow that you can hardly see on the screen.

I've tried changing the theme from blue to black or silver (through Editors Options) but that hasn't helped.

On other computers their emails change to grey when they do the above, and you can still see what email you've selected, however mine goes to an almost invisible yellow.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated - I don't even know things to Google to come up with a solution!
 
Look in control panel, personalization... are you using the same theme as the other users? Are you using the default windows theme with the default colors?




The theme that affects it the most is high contrast.
 
Just checked - yes using the same theme as other people. It's so strange! Hunted around in the advanced buttons as well - nothing seems out of place.
