My understanding is that Outlook (2010) removes Re: and Fwd: and replaces them upon sending an email.

In my case however it is not doing this it simply adds more and more to the subject line and I end up with

RE Fwd FW or RE RE - well you got the message

I have searched the web upside down and can't find anything about this issue.

Let me pre-empt and say that there is not a leading space or anything like this causing a problem

Appreciate any assistance

David

Are you 100% sure there is not a leading space or other character? Because absent that, all current versions of Outlook will not add extra re's to the subject. Also, if there are multiple Re's in the subject when youo received it, it probably won't remove those. It only affects the one that would be added by you.

Absolutely 100% positive that there are no leading spaces

I do have an Add-In Sperry Software and even disabling that doesnt change the problem just in case that is the next question.

It also adds a Re to each Subject Line - is that normal?

Try safe mode - the results will likely the the same though.

Can you forward me one as an attachments? I'll see if i can see anything that sticks out. (Assuming the forward doesn't screw it up.)

Safe Mode = Same Problem :(

The Re's don't have colons - RE RE Share Margin Loan - outlook needs a colon to identify the prefix.

Why it has no colon is unknown. I can't tell from looking at the message or header - it goes through messagelabs for spam filtering and gmail but neither should remove the colon.
