Hello,
I need to be able to auto truncate an email message before forwarding it. Here is the scenario. I receive certain alerts from my telephone system. I need to be able to forward these alerts to cell phones. I don't need to send the entire body of the email (most cell phones cut off the important part because of too many characters anyway). The email subject is always the same so I can use Outlook rules to forward, but I need a script to truncate the message to just the info I need.
The subject is always: ShoreWare Event Notification: Switch: (1319)
The body of the email is always:
Computer: Servername
Version: 12.15.6700.0
Type: Warning
Date: 8/3/2010 9:53:33 AM
Source: ShoreWare
Category: (1) Switch
Event ID: 1319
Description:
Switch Switchname: Emergency Services Call to 911 on port 10.42.107.80 from user (Username) at (extension)
All I need to forward is the Description.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
