Can't send/receive in Office 2007

I get a message that "an object is missing" every time I try to send or receive. I just installed office 2007 on my new win 7 machine and everything works except Send/Receive. I set up the email account and used the wizzards "test the account" to try it out and it works. But, regular Send/Receive won't work and I get the mesage "an object is missing". I don't think its an Office issue since I reinstalled Office several times and always the same result.

Can it be that win 7 is somehow incompatible with Office 2007 as far as send/receive? Does it not have a specific "shared DLL or something that Office is looking for?

Anybody have a suggestion?
 
It's not Windows 7 - outlook is compatible.




Does the To button display the addresses in your books? This error often means the address book service is corrupt and that is the easiest way to check.
