Views with the ToDo Bar and Navigation Pane

I was playing with various view configurations in Outlook 2007 and the following work best for me:

Calendar view with a large ToDo bar and no navigation pane.

Contacts with no ToDo Bar and No Nav pane.

Mail with no ToDo Bar but with a Navigation pane.

Is there a way for Outlook to remember these settings when I switch to each section?

I wasn't sure whether or not the Define Views settings would save the Nav pane and ToDo Bar positions.

Unfortunately, no. It's all or nothing in Outlook 2010 and older.

Outlook 2013 supports different configured for folder types though - it's one of the few redeeming qualities in the "new and improved" to-do bar.
