Sync Problems Outlook with iPad 2

Hi There Ladies and Gents,

Perhaps someone can help me with this.

I can see my iPad appointments on outlook 2007 but can't see my outlook appointments on the iPad.

when I'm working on my desk top, I prefer using the Outlook calendar, rather than the iPad one. Initially all my appointments were transferred to the iPad Calendar Is there a way of getting this sorted out?

How are you syncing with the iPad? If you use iCloud, you need to move the appointments from your old calendar into the iCloud calendar in Outlook.

Diane, thank you for your reply, yes I'm using iCloud! is there not a way of keeping my appointments in outlook?

Technically, they are in outlook as long as the iCloud add-in is installed. When you set up the iCloud, you selected what to move to the iCloud, and it did.

If you want appt in your outlook folders as well as iCloud, you need to use a sync utility or copy the items over.

Keep in mind that if outlook opens to the calendar, you can set iCloud as the default for start up; iCloud contacts can be set as default for address book too. Doing these two things solve most of the issues for most people. All that is left is that iCloud sometimes stops moving new items from the outlook folders to iCloud.

Also, if you only use POP3 accounts, you may be able to set the iCloud as default (if using v2.1.2) - this only works with pop3 accounts in the profile. (It works in Outlook 2010 but not 2013. I did not test 2007.) Doing this will put the calendar on the to-do bar.
