Using both My Calendar and iCloud Calendar in Outlook 2010

I have a Windows 7-32 bit PC, an iPad 3 and a HTC One X Plus Android smartphone. I have already wirelessly synced the iCloud calendar between my PC and iPad - it works fine. I just enter all my calendar events in the "iCloud Calendar" in Outlook 2010 and they appear on my iPad.

I have installed the HTC Sync Manager on my PC to sync calendar events from the PC to the HTC phone. The problem is that although HTC Sync Manager works fine, it only imports from "My Calendar."

This means that I have to do a "double entry" on my PC to both calendars or copy the event from the "iCloud Calendar" to the "My Calendar." This is too time consuming. I only use the iPad at home and rely on the smartphone to view calendar events away from home.

Question: Is there any way to do just one calendar entry in Outlook on my PC so that it appears on both calendars on the PC at the same time? Can "My Calendar" and the "iCloud Calendar" be merged automatically? Any other suggestions?

look for droid apps called CardDav-Sync and CalDav-Sync - i'm told they can connect to the iCloud calendar and contacts - this way you won't need to use the sync manager in outlook. The iCloud will handle the sync and the droid connects to the iCloud website to sync.

Hello Diane,

I downloaded CalDAV-Sync and it works fine on my HTC One X Plus smartphone. However, I also had to download the JB Workaround CardDAV-Sync app since my HTC phone uses Android Jelly Bean 4.1.1.

This can be found at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.dmfs.jb.workaround.carddavsync&hl=en

Supposedly, you do not need to download this app if your HTC phone is running

Android Jelly Bean 4.2.
