Can't import distribution list - help, please

I'm setting up a new email account for a friend in Outlook 2007 and she gave me her distribution list on a CD. It's in .msg format. I can open it in Outlook 2007, and only in Outlook, but I can't seem to import it into the contacts, nor can I copy the list. Any suggestions?
