Just added outlook 2016. Icloud would not load. Tried uninstalling icloud and re-installing. No dice. Unfortunately I had some advice to get rid of the icloud add in, and re-install that addin. How do I find that addin?

Did you get any error messages?

You need to sign out of the icloud - right click on the icloud icon in the windows notification tray and choose Open iCloud Settings. Sign out. (If asked to make a local copy, say no, unless you have appointments in outlook's icloud copy that are not online). I would open Outlook and go to file, account settings, data file tab. If icloud's data file is listed, select it and click Remove. close Outlook.

You can either sign back in now or uninstall icloud, reboot, and reinstall it before signing back in. Without knowing what error messages you got, its hard to say if reinstalling is required.

Thanks Diane; unfortunately this did not work. I even have the app specific password in place. There is no icloud addin, not any datafiles. When logged into icloud the window only has photos; icloud drive, and bookmarks. No wording indicating mail, calendars or contacts

Do you have v6 or v7 installed?

I know the mail section comes in a second after the v7 interface loads (i never noticed it with v6), but it should be listed - not sure if it comes in only if it detects outlook or "sees" the outlook addin is installed.

is the addin listed under disabled addins in Outlook? (File, options, addins)

Hey Diane, I resolved the issue. Seems that when I downloaded Outlook 2016, the addin did not load (possibly because I still had 2007 installed, which I have since uninstalled).
Uninstalled Icloud, uninstalled Outlook, then reinstalled both. All is good.
Thanks for your time and effort
