Outlook 2016 Can I disable the Outlook Outbox?

What makes an email hang up in the Outbox? It seems to happen unexpectedly. Can I disable the Outbox so that active mail being created remains visible? How does the Outbox work? What rules does it follow?

What do you use for antivirus? When you say mail is hung up, do you mean it has the send icon but won't send or is the icon the draft icon?

Yes you can! follow this steps :-

Launch Outlook, click "File" and choose "Options" from the menu to open the Outlook Options window.

Click "Advanced" in the left pane to view the advanced settings and then click the "Send/Receive" button in the Send and Receive section to open the Send/Receive Groups window.

Select the "All Accounts" group from the Group Name list and then click the "Edit" button to open the "Send/Receive Settings - All Accounts" window

Uncheck the "Send mail items" box in the Account Options section and then click "OK" to stop Outlook from sending emails.

Click "Close" and then "OK" to close all windows and return to the main Outlook window.
