New password won't update

Hello,
I changed my password on my gmail account
I can't manage to update it in Outlook 2016
On the window "enter user name and password" nothing happens but the same window popping up again and again
And when I go to "update password" I get a message that something went wrong....

If you have the Gmail accounts added to Outlook as POP accounts, you need to enable two-step verification and then use an app password in Outlook. Update the password (using the app password) in File > Account Settings > Update password if the enter password dialog does not come up.
Outlook and Gmail's Less Secure Apps Setting

If you use imap, Outlook 2016 (retail copy) and newer will connect to Gmail without needing two-step enabled. Older versions need two-step enabled (and the app password.)
