    Inbox shows old email

I can't say i understand what is going on, but I would start by accessing the webmail version of the account and try to get clues there. Also if the error is happening consistently, then it would be easier to troubleshoot. Try to link the error to one device or the other. I would take the...

Office 2016 Outlook is forgetting passwords

When this has happened to me I have been able to fix it by playing with the server port settings, and sometimes with the type of encryption that is chosen. Go to your email provider site and find their page of settings for Outlook, see what you can change. also if you use the Test Account...

SENT mail not reloading to top??

Cannot reproduce on my Outlook 2016. Sent folder does refresh automatically, newly sent mail appears on top. Maybe try hitting F5? You said "I then have to click SENT folder, which now highlights the same message, but waaaaay down in the normal order of things" Are they not sorted by date?

Cannot Move Autocomplete File to New Computer

I just had a thought. Is there any chance your new installation is Office 64 bit, and the old one is 32 bit? that might be causing an issue. And in fact you may have to use different versions (different bit versions) of NK2Edit for each file.

Cannot Move Autocomplete File to New Computer

OK I downloaded NK2Edit and I think I figured out the technique I used previously. Make an extra copy of the .dat file from the old computer first, just to be safe. I don't really trust the .dat file (Stream_Autocomplete file) you are using now so I would start by closing Outlook, renaming...

Cannot Move Autocomplete File to New Computer

And the .dat file with the updated date and time is the one large one, the 348 Kb or so, file?

Cannot Move Autocomplete File to New Computer

Let's see if Outlook is using the .dat file. After opening Outlook on the new computer, try sending an email to an email address you've not sent to before, then close Outlook and see if the .dat file has the current time and date. If so, that shows it is using the 348 kb .dat file that you put in.

Cannot Move Autocomplete File to New Computer

What about this question from my previous post - f it does have the current time, then I would check the file size to see if it is the same size as the .dat file on the old computer, to make sure you did not somehow mess up the copy/rename. If still no luck, try using the NK2Edit software...

Cannot Move Autocomplete File to New Computer

That's odd, it has always worked for me. Sounds like you did it right, but to be sure - on the old computer, you went to RoamCache, copied the StreamAutocomplete*****.dat file with the latest date. Then you put that in RoamCache on the new computer, and re-named it with the same name as the...

    Move to Folder

Not sure about your 2013, but my Outlook 2016 does not have Custom Keyboard Shortcut capability. In Word and I think in older Outlook, you get to it from File/Options/Customize Ribbon, and a Keyboard Shortcut button would appear in the lower right.

Outlook 2016 Outlook randomly unhides from taskbar

I don't see anything in those events that gives me any clue. I also tried to reproduce this by hiding Outlook when minimized, and setting the desktop background to change every minute, but it does not unhide on my computer.

Outlook 2016 Outlook randomly unhides from taskbar

I'm not seeing anything that I can make sense out of. But you are showing the xml view in the Details tab. What does it say in the General tab? also in the box at the top, what type of event is this? ie Information, Error, etc.

Outlook 2016 Outlook randomly unhides from taskbar

Something to consider trying is to use the Event Viewer (Start button>type Event Viewer). As soon as the program unhides, open the Event Viewer and look under Windows Logs (most likely in the subsection Application or System) for an event at the minute that it happened. It may give you a hint...

Spam folder not showing in Outlook

That was me in that thread. That account was not a Microsoft webmail, it was hosted by Hostgator and they had a spam filter that was creating the Junk Mail folder. I disabled it to fix the problem. Your issue seems to be different. My problem was with the desktop version of Outlook.
