I would start by making sure the email went out. Send an email to yourself. Is it received, and does it show up in Sent mail? And then look at that received email. What email address does it show as the "From" address? Is it in fact the email address you sent it from?

Do your search, then click the View Tab. Then in the toolbar click "Add Columns". then in the left column choose "In Folder" and click the arrow to add it to the right column. You can choose the order the columns appear in this dialog too. And remove unwanted columns.

I am surprised your Outlook.com account is set up as pop3. Mine are Exchange accounts. I suggest adding an additional account for it to Outlook as a test, and choose Exchange Account. Or let it do the Automatic setup if your version does that.

You can try a repair on Office. Do that from Control Panel/Programs and Features/Office/Change

I can't say why that happens, but maybe try moving them somewhere else first. Like to a folder on a .pst that you have already have or that you create. or maybe try copying instead of moving.
