New problem, .oft extentions in Outlook 2013

Okay, I don't understand too much about SQL databases. So I'll try that in a couple of more days. iCould: I do have an apple account (dcms61@icloud.com), so it will set up an imap account, and I can turn it into a POP account? Also, I've never heard of a Me account, so I'm okay with the...

New problem, .oft extentions in Outlook 2013

It's definitely an .OFT file extension. Before I went to dismiss it, I hovered my mouse over the Outlook icon in the task bar, and the title was Business Contact Manager 2013! I just noticed that tonight when I got home. Does BCM need some sort of Template to get started? I don't know, that's...

New problem, .oft extentions in Outlook 2013

Hello, Without changing anything with Outlook 2013 [32-bit] w/ Win7Ult SP1, every time I start up Outlook 2013, a pop up window comes up and it's asking for files ending in the .oft (forms?) extension. Is there a way to prevent this from happening? Can you explain, if possible, why this is...

    BCM Use with Outlook 2013

Okay, then I shouldn't have any problems installing the new BCM with Outlook 2013. But I am having problems. I even went to the point of Repairing my Windows 7 Ult SP1 [32-bit] from my original boot disk, then I tried to install the new BCM, and I received the same results. So far no one has...

    BCM Use with Outlook 2013

I know, I saw that too! What, BCM doesn't work Vista now? Is there a patch/fix or what ever from M$ so it shows my correct OS, which is Windows 7 Ult SP1 [31-bit]. I never had and never will have Vista, my sister has it and I don't like it. BTW, I decided to go to the MS TechNet forums and post...

    BCM Use with Outlook 2013

No, I never had Windows Vista, I stuck with XP. About three years ago, I made the switch. I have Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 [32-bit] with MS Office 2013 Professional Plus [32-bit]. I keep my Windows 7 Ult SP1 up to date with all the recent updates. I'm at a loss. Thank You. David

    BCM Use with Outlook 2013

Nor do I. I'm going to attach the logs that BCM created in my %AppData%\Local\Temp\ directory. Maybe you can see something I don't. I did notice that in one of the logs it says that I'm running Windows Vista!? I have no idea. I have one more in the next message.

    BCM Use with Outlook 2013

Okay, thanks for the suggestion about running as Administrator. I tried that, and it didn't work. BCM 2013 installs MS SQL 2008 Server first, as it always does, even if I have it installed along with 2012. When it goes to install BCM, it never creates the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Small...

    BCM Use with Outlook 2013

Okay, I attempted to install the MSSMLBIZ.msi file and I used the command line arguments : msiexec.exe /qf MSSMLBIZ.msi /L*vx D:\BCM.txt and this produced a log file of everything that went on in detail. I had to make it two files because your system doesn't allow for files or 56k...

    BCM Use with Outlook 2013

Okay, I have MS Office 2013 Professional Plus, I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 [32-bit]. I just check to see what I have installed, and I do have installed Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Management Objects, Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Server Setup Support Files, AND, the rest is all Microsoft SQL...

    BCM Use with Outlook 2013

    Okay, I reinstalled BCM 2013 and I received the exact same message. This is the script file: var SW_SHOWNORMAL = 1; var shell = new ActiveXObject("WScript.shell"); var cmdline = WScript.Arguments.Item(0); var i = 0; for ( i = 1; i < WScript.Arguments.Count(); i = i + 1 ) {...

    BCM Use with Outlook 2013

Okay, this message came up after I finished installing BCM 2013, and after I rebooted, and before my desktop was loaded. So it happened after I installed it and rebooted. Before I posted here, I looked for that script and couldn't find it, because I wanted to know what file was missing. I'm...

    BCM Use with Outlook 2013

Hi, I finally found time to download and install M$ SQL 2012 Server. After I installed it and rebooted, I then installed BCM 2013. Everything seemed to go well, with no errors, etc. Then when I rebooted, and my computer started Windows 7, I received the following errors: Script...

    BCM Use with Outlook 2013

Thank you, I doe have and used the 368Mb file. I looked in Outlook 2013 and no trace of BCM. I then went to the Control Panel under Programs, and it doesn't show BCM 2013 or SQL 2008 Express was installed. Do you think I should reinstall BCM 2013, because there is no way I can uninstall it, or...

    BCM Use with Outlook 2013

One last question, how would I know if BCM for Outlook 2013 was successfully installed? I think I was reading on line somewhere that I have to have my old BCM 2010 already installed? I just did a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate SP1, along with MS Office 2013. Should have I installed BCM...

    BCM Use with Outlook 2013

Thank you, I thought that too, but on M$ site, it was a requested that you have SQL, so I downloaded all of the latest one [32-bit], 2012. I attempted to install it on a friend computer who has almost the same setup as myself, except a slower machine, but when we restarted the computer, and ran...

    Reading/Posting in Newsgroups

Hi, I have one more question for today. Does anyone know of a program that I can use with Outlook 2013 which will enable me to read and post in UseNet Newsgroups? I looked at MapiLabs, and their Newsgroup program for Outlook is for all versions up to and including 2010. There is no mention of...
