@Diane Poremsky
Thanks again for the reply.
However, when you get a chance ... which version of iCloud for Windows are you using? The old v7.21 from Apple or the new v11.x from Windows-Store?
Agreed. That new view is the worst ever. When I was forced to use it I corrupted a couple of Contacts. Luckily, I somehow got it back to a simple form/record that can be edited like normal.
Hopefully, you got yours fixed as well.
Outlook-365 is just the Subscription-model or how you pay for the desktop program. It used to be Office-2013, but now it's Office-2016 or the next one.
Try setting-up the way I do it. Here are my notes:
Office 2016 - To get the full options for email accounts (for easy editing)

Glad to see that you are still running this website/forum. Thanks (I knew you would know the answer).
Well then, I suppose I will go-ahead and try re-installing my Office-2016 Pro/Outlook-2016 as a 64-bit version and see if that helps.
a. This is a "live install". Do I have to completely...
Yes, that is what iCloud for Windows is for (and basically, how to install it). I like it and have been using it for many years.
Do YOU run iCloud for Windows on YOUR Outlook-2019 (64 bit) installation? If so, which version works for you ? When you bring-up iCloud Settings, the version number...
Yes, the iCloud Outlook Addin is installed and Active. Everything else in Outllook-2016 seems to auto-config properly as well.
Version 7.x works initially after clean-install (so my Contacts from iCloud storage get imported in initially).
Do you run iCloud for Windows on your Outlook-2019 (64...
I appreciate your confidence in my skills (and sure we could fire-up the AnyDesk), but this is Diane's site, let's let her help you.
I figured you would try your broken account in Windows Mail, but I suppose a new test account is the same idea.
Interesting results. If POP is allowed in...
It was a good fix-suggestion on his part.
And as far as "App Specific Passwords" I don't think they are required because:
a. Your existing credentials are working for POP3
b. I'm not using them (and mine works without one)
However, as a last resort, would be something to try. My iCloud email...
Not sure I can help much here (as your Outlook 2010 is old) and all is in a different language.
However, I wanted to provide one suggestion.
Use IMAP-compatible email accounts. When you setup the Accounts in Outlook, setup as IMAP. When you send emails from Outlook, be sure to "send them...
Apart from using bigger pieces or paper :) or doing something with a custom-developed plugin ... not sure. Maybe someone else knows.
Problems like this is why people often stop printing things and go to an online or digital only solution (as you can then scroll and/or expand as needed).
Thanks, that is helpful. I checked and Yes ... I have that ON as well. Here are my updated Outlook/Gmail notes that I keep (in case I ever have to re-setup gmail Account in Outlook):
Gmail Notes:
- You can use either IMAP or POP3 (in email client) to access your Gmail account . You can allow...
< The "Enter your user name and password for the following server" message keeps popping up for the smtp.gmail.com server.
If this setting doesn't work:
Outgoing server (SMTP) requires Authentication
- Use same settings as my Incoming mail server
You can always try the other setting and...
Not really sure what you except to happen now. This doesn't even appear to be an Outlook problem. Maybe Gmail has a forum, but I think Google telephone based support is only for paid G-Suite customers. Someone else might drop into this thread, but I kinda doubt it. Plus, they would have to know...
The email-accounts you have setup in Outlook have nothing to do with whatever Microsoft Account is linked to your Office-365 subscription.
You can name the Accounts whatever you want. I find it helpful to make the name match the email address it accesses.
In Office 2016 - To get the full...
Did you find EVERY setting I mentioned? Remember, they are spread-out over 3-4 option-pages in Outlook-2016.
You might have to enable both POP3 and IMAP (Settings at gmail.com) for the troublesome account because I have them both turned on for my gmail account (I use it POP3 in Outlook, yet via...

Back when I installed my Microsoft Office 2007, it was 32-bit and worked with the current release of iCloud for Windows of that time.
When Microsoft Office 2010 was released, it was suggested to install the 32-bit version, to retain compatibility with Addins/Plugins like iCloud for Windows...
Since this is the best place on the Internet to discuss Outlook and iCloud for Windows integrations, I thought I would start a thread. Not only to help me through my current problems, but to share my experience with others looking for tips and help. While I still have my Mac-Mini-2012 (that I...
