Outlook 2016 Does Outlook-2016 (64 bit) work with iCloud for Windows ?

Back when I installed my Microsoft Office 2007, it was 32-bit and worked with the current release of iCloud for Windows of that time.

When Microsoft Office 2010 was released, it was suggested to install the 32-bit version, to retain compatibility with Addins/Plugins like iCloud for Windows. When I installed it on my wife's computer, I again went with the 32-bit version. It worked fine (in general) and also worked with iCloud for Windows for her. This machine was running Windows-10 Pro (64 bit).

With my past experiences, when it came time to upgrade my machine (Windows-10 Pro 64-bit) from Office-2007 to Office-2016, I again went with the 32-bit version. It worked fine, and (until recently) ... also worked with the current releases of iCloud for Windows.

My question is ...

Has anyone installed the 64-bit version of Microsoft Office 2016 Pro (with Outlook 2016) and it works 100% with either iCloud for Windows 7.x or the (Microsoft Store) version 11.x ?

Does anyone have an actual 64-bit Microsoft Office 2010/2016 installation on Windows-10 64-bit working with any version of iCloud for Windows ?
 
ou can use iCloud for Windows to synchronize your calendar and contacts between your iOS device and Outlook. To install iCloud for Windows, use the following steps.

Download and install iCloud for Windows.

After installation, launch the iCloud app and sign in with your Apple ID and password.

In the iCloud app, select the option to sync Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and Tasks, then click Apply.

Once the setup has finished, launch Outlook. Your iCloud email, contacts, and calendars should now be synchronizing with Outlook.

Yes, that is what iCloud for Windows is for (and basically, how to install it). I like it and have been using it for many years.

Do YOU run iCloud for Windows on YOUR Outlook-2019 (64 bit) installation? If so, which version works for you ? When you bring-up iCloud Settings, the version number is faintly marked in top-right corner.

I personally do not have outlook 2010 working with it, but have clients that do (32bit office on win 10 64) - I set it up for them so I know it works. I use the 64bit office subscription with iCloud - I've tried both the store and apple versions and perfect the apple download.

Well then, I suppose I will go-ahead and try re-installing my Office-2016 Pro/Outlook-2016 as a 64-bit version and see if that helps.

a. This is a "live install". Do I have to completely uninstall Office 2016 Pro (32 bit) before re-installing Office 2016 Pro (as 64 bit) ?

b. So, you are saying that (Apple Downloaded) v7.21 still works perfectly for you on Windows-10/Office-365 (64bit)?

c. What about (Microsoft Store) v11.x ... that we are being told is the proper version now-days for Windows-10? Ever seen THAT work on Office-2016 (64 bit) or Office-365 (64 bit) ?

However, when you get a chance ... which version of iCloud for Windows are you using? The old v7.21 from Apple or the new v11.x from Windows-Store?
