I am considering purchasing the "Attachment Detacher for Outlook" add in for Outlook mail (via Exchange server) - to reduce a large mailbox.
* I'm using a hosted exchange service, so I wanted to confirm that I can operate the add-in locally on my client Outlook program (local PC), and it will simply work with the incoming stream of connected mail?
* When the attachments are detached to the local drive (and links inserted to the email), I am hoping it then makes a sync/change with the server - and the server email 'original' is updated with the "linked files" version (which will reduce the mailbox size on the server). In other words, I don't just want my local storage to be smaller, I need the server storage to be the same reduced amount?
I hope the above points make sense to how the add-in might works, if someone could give me some tips on this approach.
Thanks.
