Paperclip icon shows without attachment in email under Sent folder

PLEASE help!! I've changed over to IMAP and now all my Sent emails show the paperclip icon, even though there is no attachment to the email. This happen whenever there is a signature with a compony logo. When i receive an email with such a signature, the Inbox doesn't show the paperclip icon, but when i reply to that email, the paperclip icon shows , even if there is no attachment to the email. My 2x business partners both have IMAP but this doesn't happen in their Outlook, so it must be a setting somewhere and i cannot figure it out, even after many hours of google the problem.
