Outlook 2013 deletes emails, does not send them to Deleted Items or Trash

In the past few weeks, I have noticed that sometimes when I delete an email, it will delete a group of them. They are just suddenly gone. They do not go to Trash or Deleted Items in Outlook 2013. I then look for them in my IMAP account, and they have been removed from there as well.

My Outlook 2013 connects to an IMAP account for mail.

I can't find a way to get those emails back. They should not be permanently deleted.
 
Now, I am losing emails as soon as they come into Outlook. I have had to shut it down. I have made NO changes to any settings. I am afraid to open it even though it has my calendar and contacts!

Emails come into the Inbox, stay for a second and then are GONE! They don't go to trash or deleted or junk. And they are now gone from my IMAP account.
 
Did you try resetting your view? You could have a filter set that hides the messages.

If they are disappearing, do you have another profile or device also checking email, that is configured as POP3?
