now on office 365 but getting error messages about missing Outlook 2013 cache folders

Does anyone else have issues with leftover files from an older version of Office? Months ago, I converted to Office 365. No issues there. However, today I started getting error messages about a missing Outlook 2013 cache file, and instructions to to back to the Office 2013 installer.

What is really weird is that Windows Update wants to install a bunch of updates for Office 2013

This install of Windows is about four years old. Under \Program Files there are Office folders with subfolders for Office 15 and Office 16. I think I can use the Force Uninstall feature of Revo Uninstaller Pro to clean things out, but I'm not sure how to proceed.

When I installed Office 365, I thought that Office 2013 was completely uninstalled as part of that process. The uninstaller probably missed something. Oops.

I installed the Office Support and Recovery Assistant, and ran the tool for both Office and Outlook. No joy there.
