Outlook 2019 is no longer asking for password ...

EDIT ... The more I think about it, there was a Personal Folder at the top of the folder list that must have gotten deleted.

Outlook 2019 is no longer asking for password ...

Diane, thanks for your prompt response. I'll attach ascreenshot. The top folder in Outlook Today is my folder named with my email address. I've right clicked on that and tried Account Properties / Account settings / Update password ... didn't solve the problem. I also tried right click on the...

Outlook 2019 is no longer asking for password ...

I believe it's the password for the pst file. The email password(s) are the ones for our provider and are different, and to start up the computer, there's yet another password.

Outlook 2019 is no longer asking for password ...

This just started very recently. I go to open Outlook 2019 (on Windows 11 Pro) and the program opens. It would always ask me for my four character password that I created, but now it just opens, no password required. I have looked online for solutions and from within Outlook, tried ... File \...

cannot view emails in View pane (in the right pane), I only see one line or nothing

It's Wednesday 7 AM here in the Netherlands, six hours earlier in the US East coast, just turned on my computer, went to Outlook, and the problem was already fixed by Microsoft, fixed in the background. This was certainly interesting.

cannot view emails in View pane (in the right pane), I only see one line or nothing

I had Updates paused for seven days, so it's unlikely a Windows Update issue. (I just reenabled Update, updated, but the issue still exists.) At the very least, I'm glad I'm not alone. ;) If you discover a solution, please write back. Thanks!

cannot view emails in View pane (in the right pane), I only see one line or nothing

Since I couldn't edit my original post, I'm replying to myself to add more information. I opened an email where in the right pane there was nothing to read in that email. I performed a Crtl + A and then Ctrl + C. When I copied that into Notepad I could view everything. Could this be...

cannot view emails in View pane (in the right pane), I only see one line or nothing

We don't know what happened. We're using Outlook 2019 with Windows 10. Just now my wife clicked on an e-mail and there is nothing in the viewing pane, the pane on the right side of the window. We can see (and change - Message Preview, none, 1,2, or 3 lines) on the left pane and see up to...

a general question re how backup programs handle pst files ... I have no problems, just curious

I have two pst files, one is 300MB and the other is 1.7GB. I'm curious how backup programs handle these files when backing up. If I make one small change to either file, the backup program 'sees' that the file has changed and needs to be backed up. With a file that is 1.7GB, does the...

How to remove a folder, option grayed out

Thanks for the prompt reply! As usual, I posted my initial message without completely examining everything. I could in fact delete the Junk E-mail folder in my wife's account. So, now her account has the default Junk Email folder and mine has Junk E-mail. I'm not going to pursue this any...

How to remove a folder, option grayed out

Hi, we have two accounts on our Outlook 2019 (having just migrated from Office 2013). My wife has two Junk mail folders - Junk Email and Junk E-mail. It would appear that Junk E-mail is the default folder since I also have that folder in my account. This isn't a life and death issue as I'm...

learned something, I'll pass it on

Diane, I made an appointment with you today, five hours from now - 7 PM my time, 1 PM, I assume you time. I'll give you more information to make this easier. I have my Outlook emails, calendar, contacts on my new computer. I kept receiving that 0x8004010F error, the program couldn't access my...

learned something, I'll pass it on

I spent a fair amount of time tonight exporting and importing my Outlook files. My old computer was from 2013, I believe, and had Office 2013. I just bought a new computer and had all kinds of problems importing my pst files. I now realize, I should have first set up the accounts. My wife...
