Arggh, weakness of reminder for every Task recurrence

In Outlook (desktop, v. 365/2016) I create a task for recurring items with Control-shift-K for next Tuesday. I go alt-M for a reminder at some time, let's say at 11:45 A.M. next Tuesday. I create recurrence (alt-H,E), daily, no end date. Now if I am not mistaken, when the reminder is dismissed...

    Capture "forward event" ?

From the few times I've got it to work, I've observed that if someone has an image as their "signature" then that is counted in the attachments collection. That is, an "inline image" is counted as an attachment (if I'm wording this correctly). Example, <<image001.png 8KB >> Also, restarting...

    Capture "forward event" ?

It's strange, 2 times out of 15, the code fired off. It worked swell when it did, but !! The selection change is a little awkward to do so it would be great if that wasn't required. Worse than that, though, IT is not firing most of the time either though :(

    Capture "forward event" ?

Thank you, but every message I've tried in 2007 does not hit the code. It does hit Private Sub Application_ItemSend when I went alt-S on a reply, but none of the routines you mentioned fired off (I put a breakpoint or Stop statement in each). Both changing the code sub name from Reply to...

    Capture "forward event" ?

Thank you. Sorry for delay in responding, while grateful for your fast response. I put all three routines (with End Subs) in ThisOutlookSession, added Dims provisionally to satisfy Option Explicit, added the Word reference, and ran, but none of them fired upon reply or reply all or forward. It...

    Capture "forward event" ?

I'd like to use VBA which triggers when "forward" is chosen. All the code I've seen is how to *initiate* a forwarding. That's not my target. Rather, I'm trying to capture when forward has just been chosen. I may be wanting code for "OnForwarding" (a made-up word) or possibly MailItem.Forward...

    Quit event code - 2007

Thanks, but no good. The MS article actually describes exactly what I'm doing, but even does so incorrectly (it goes in ThisOutlookSession, not a class module). Oh, well, no biggie.

    Quit event code - 2007

    Doh. OUTLOOK.EXE, not OUTLLOOK.EXE.

    Quit event code - 2007

Thanks for the incredible help I've received here, usually lurking through the years of great stuff here. Here's something that I expect will be easy but I'm floundering. If it's not simple, it's okay, this is not really important to me. I want to intercept Outlook shutdown if there are...

Outlook 2007 compound (OR) instant search break down

Beating this horse further in case it's revealing: 15 minutes later, the deleted items finally fell off the search but now there are "158 items remaining" instead of 146, though only 1 email has arrived in past 20 minutes and I'll I've done is read and delete. How could the number of items...

Outlook 2007 compound (OR) instant search break down

This is so frustrating. Right now, as has happened before, "Search results may be incomplete because items are still being indexed. Click here for more details." **(below) Clicking says "146 items remaining across all open mailboxes" and not budging (CPU 98% idle). Indexing status (from the...

Outlook 2007 compound (OR) instant search break down

Yes. » Use Outlook cached mode or not? Johan's Web Portal seems very helpful understanding that topic. I gather that having an actively updating .OST (evidenced from file date/time) implies offline mode; AAR the checkboxes are on under Accoutn setting/change/etc. I may have lucked onto...

Outlook 2007 compound (OR) instant search break down

I ran scanost; no errors shown in log. However instant search term "us.pwc" OR detail OR "through" still only returns results from 8/2012 and earlier (and is virtually immediate); yet "us.pwc" OR detail OR subject:"through" takes a couple of seconds and *does* correctly find recent...

Outlook 2007 compound (OR) instant search break down

There is SCANOST in \office12\ and actually now I remember running that about 6-8 months ago. I'll try it overnight. I looked at everything in that tree. Thanks again!
