If you can find a retail copy of office 2024 Home & Business, that would be the newest. Note: the cheap copies online are illegally sold volume licences and Microsoft could revoke the license at any time.
Otherwise, office 2021.
Standalone Outlook is available.
Can you find the message in your mailbox at gmail.com? If yes, where is it there?
A few others have complained about disappearing messages also but I don't know the cause.
I had another person with that problem, and I don't think we solved it - reinstalled iCloud and signed out and back in. They created the appt in the Outlook calendar and moved it to iCloud as a work around.
It would be something in the iCloud app.
Assuming 1 Microsoft account - File > Info page, at the bottom, click Manage Add-ins. Anything on that list is a web add-in. Find time was a web addin (is now built into outlook as Scheduling poll but is still a web-based app).
This was a Microsoft notification to business admins: The...
Removing office web add-ins from the toolbar doesn't work - they sync back down after a restart. But you shouldn't have find time - it was retired.
Better is to create custom ribbons with the buttons you want. Put it before home tab and it should display first when you start outlook.
Do you get an error when you try to delete it?
Are you using the iCloud add-in? You need to sign out of iCloud and sign back in.
When asked to save a backup, I recommend no, unless there are a lot of new events that did not sync back to iCloud. If you make a backup, when you sign back in...
They should both be the same date. Are you sure they are both using the same Microsoft account?
re: new outlook. Yeah, its not bad. The legacy version has some features new outlook does not - like import / export (which is coming).
For classic Outlook: Adobe Acrobat has a PDF add-in that makes a "package" - all of the messages in a folder are converted to a pdf, with each message a separate PDF within the main pdf. You can browse the pages by subject. It's a really nice feature but there is a limit to the number of...
The extra folders are often because a mobile app doesn't use the folders the server says to use. I see it more with Apple as they use Sent Messages as the sent folder.
Are the extra folders showing in web mail? If yes, figure out which folder is used by webmail and delete the others (If there...
The url means it is set up as an exchange account. Everything in the mailbox is on the server. Anything in On My Computer folders is only stored on the computer. It can be exported to an olm file but new Outlook for mac will import the On My Computer folders.
If you are using the same computer and just a newer version of office, it should have picked up your pop account and pst.

When I brought over my gmail account to outlook 2021 - it had me use imap rather than pop3. Now I no longer have the use of categories and colors in Outlook.

Where...
Yes, you can switch to POP but will need to use 2-step verification and an app password to add it to outlook. If you use your old pst, you'll have your categories and everything as they were before switching to imap.
You won't lose anything making the switch, unless you started sorting mail...
So you just need to update your password in classic outlook? Is there a 'need password' in the status bar on the lower right side? Click it to enter the password. If not, select the Gmail inbox and click update folder. It should ask for a password.
If all else fails, you can remove the...
Harvman is on the right path... but its mailto you need to change.
Find Outlook in the default apps (if it's not labels classic, go by the icon) - then change all of the defaults to it, if it doesn't have them currently.
Can you post a screenshot?
Tentative will use pinkish color - it used to be solid, pale pink. Is now latticed. Busy will use category color if one is assigned, otherwise calendar color.
>> laptop, macro not working. unless I check "calendar-outlook'
Ah... the macro uses the default data file.
Set Items = Ns.GetDefaultFolder(olFolderCalendar).Items
You can either change the default - File > Account Settings > Account Settings > Data file tab. Select the oputlook.com data...
Try disabling macro security in file > options > trust center. Restart outlook, reenbable allow all macros (least secure) then restart again.
Test it. If it still fails, close outlook, rename the macro file - vbaproject.otm at C:\Users\%usernamr%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook. Restart...
